He played football at Colorado State, made the switch to that sport in 2022, and before that did sumo at the 2022 World Games in Alabama plus the 2018 event in Japan and 2019 in Taiwan. NFL tryouts came and went without a selection. Pro wrestling had his attention going back a year, and in February 2025 he revealed a WWE NIL deal was already in place.
