@sandeepxThe conversation around Tony D'Angelo's recent shift in NXT centers on how he views his current persona compared to the Don character from earlier days. He frames both versions as distinct pieces of his identity rather than replacements, noting that the Don side was just one part of who he was while this new badass bruiser iteration is simply another facet of the same person. While he admits enjoying the process of playing these different roles, he also acknowledges that navigating transitions as a wrestler can sometimes feel strange for the audience and stressful for the performer involved. Despite the difficulty that comes with changing characters, he expresses genuine appreciation for the fans who stayed loyal through the weird moments and the changes. There are physical markers to this evolution too, specifically regarding his facial hair since he no longer has to maintain a clean-shaven look and now sports a beard which he finds cool. The reasoning behind the character overhaul and the subsequent dissolution of The Family comes down to various behind-the-scenes factors that occurred backstage, though he clarifies nothing negative happened, just typical industry stuff. Before settling into this current version of himself, he took a short hiatus which allowed for a pivot away from previous constraints. A major part of that transition involved addressing communication barriers caused by an accent he previously used, which made it hard for some people to understand what he was saying. To resolve this issue, WWE covered the cost of speech therapy so he could learn to speak without the accent and be understood clearly by everyone.
