@rogers_jamieGeorgia Oakley's Sense and Sensibility is pulling the older demo at US BoxOffice with that right price point, fueled by positive WOM for the Jane Austen adaptation. The film grossed $1.1 million on a discount day, marking a strong 57.3% surge from the previous day's figures. That climb dwarfs Pride and Prejudice's 2005 performance, which only saw a 7.2% increase to reach $505k on its comparable date. The movie has accumulated $9 million in total US revenue over five days. But the math gets tight: the production cost sits at $25 million before any marketing expenses are added. To recoup those costs, the film needs serious staying power both domestically and internationally while it's still in theaters. CinemaScore gave it an A- ahead of the October 16 release.
