Sobre esta música
American composer Evan Call secured the role of scoring Violet Evergarden after producer Shigeru Saitou asked him to read the source novel and submit a demo. That initial track, known as Theme of Violet Evergarden, arrived with such emotional clarity that director Tatsuya Ishihara hired him immediately without further auditions.
The resulting album Violet Evergarden: Automemories blends a standard orchestra of over fifty musicians with traditional Irish instruments like the bodhrán and tin whistle, performed by Akio Noguchi. Violinist Kōichirō Muroya carries the primary melody throughout the score, which runs for 106 minutes and 30 seconds before recording sessions concluded at Onkio Haus, Bunkamura Studio, and Avaco Creative Studio in Tokyo.
Lantis released this collection on March 28, 2018, alongside the companion vocal album Song Letters. The vocal disc features fourteen tracks sung by artists including Minori Chihara, TRUE, who performs the opening theme Sincerely, and voice actress Yui Ishikawa. Critics frequently compare the orchestral depth of these scores to high-budget feature films rather than typical anime soundtracks.
