Sobre este álbum
Charli XCX dropped her seventh studio album Music, Fashion, Film on July 24, 2026 through Atlantic Records. The project cuts a sharp figure with just eleven tracks and a runtime of 30 minutes and 5 seconds. This brevity serves the album's central thesis about cultural transience. Charli derived the title from lyrics in the single "SS26" that warn nothing will save us, not music, fashion, or film. She composed much of the material while walking the Paris runways for the spring-summer 2026 shows in October 2025.
The sonic palette blends pop structures with heavy guitar textures and hyperpop elements. A. G. Cook and EASYFUN handled production duties across the record. Lead single "Rock Music" reached number 36 on the UK Official Singles Chart despite Charli clarifying on Instagram that this is not a literal rock album. Cover art by Aidan Zamiri features musicians John Cale, designer Marc Jacobs, and director Martin Scorsese without showing Charli herself.
Release week coincided with a busy stretch for the artist including her score for Emerald Fennell's Wuthering Heights soundtrack and starring roles in The Moment, Faces of Death, and Erupcja. The supporting tour launched July 31 with North American arena dates backed by Underscores. Festival stops include Lollapalooza, Outside Lands, Reading & Leeds, and Austin City Limits. Fans discussed the album's themes heavily on Reddit and Digital Spy forums following the drop.
