Kurupt

No ano seguinte, ele formou o grupo The Hrsmn. Seu debut solo Kuruption! (1998) alcançou o oitavo lugar na Billboard 200. Ele seguiu com Tha Streetz Iz a Mutha (1999), Space Boogie: Smoke Oddessey (2001), Same Day, Different Shit (2006) e Streetlights (2011).

The community surrounding Kurupt doesn't rally under a single branded banner or perform coordinated digital campaigns for birthdays. Instead, their loyalty is defined by a deep, generational reverence for the G-Funk era and the specific legacy of Tha Dogg Pound. This audience operates less like a fan club and more like a protective circle, a dynamic most visibly demonstrated in early 2026 when fans mobilized en masse to send messages of support after Kurupt's sudden hospitalization. Their connection is rooted in the history of Death Row Records and the unshakeable bond between Kurupt and Daz Dillinger, valuing continuity over fleeting trends. While individual followers often self-identify as "DPG Soldiers" or simply West Coast hip-hop enthusiasts, there is no official, universally recognized fandom name documented in current records. The iFANN Global Fame Engine has evaluated Kurupt's standing across the cultural landscape, but he currently holds no placement in the published rankings. He is not ranked within the Global Top 1,000 nor does he appear on any Top-100 scope list. This absence from the current tiered charts reflects a status where influence is measured by historical weight rather than real-time viral velocity.[editar]

Kurupt derived his stage name from the word "currupt," a nod to the gritty themes woven through his lyrics. He is the cousin of rapper Roscoe and appeared alongside Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre in the 2000 film *The Wash*. A permanent tattoo of his ex-fiancée Natina Reed's name sits on his chest. He contributed to the 1999 hit "Xxplosive" on Dr. Dre's album *2001* and is an avid chess player who competes in celebrity tournaments. Beyond these facts lies a modern chapter in his lore: the verified health scare in January 2026. When reports surfaced that Kurupt was hospitalized with an undisclosed illness, the reaction from the music world was immediate. Collaborator Daz Dillinger publicly rallied fans to share messages of love, creating a wave of digital solidarity that major outlets covered as Kurupt began his recovery. This event highlighted the fragility of the OG generation and cemented his status as a beloved icon whose well-being matters deeply to the community. The story of his emergence as one of the first acts signed to Death Row Records remains the foundational myth, with their debut album *Tha Dogg Pound* selling four million copies to secure their place in the G-Funk canon.[editar]

Snoop Dogg (mentor e colaborador), Daz Dillinger (parceiro do Tha Dogg Pound), Dr. Dre (produtor inicial), Nate Dogg (colaborador vocal frequente), Xzibit (colaborador em Xxplosive), Roscoe (primo e rapper), Soopafly (produtor e colaborador).[editar]

Per iFANN's editorial analysis, Kurupt's net worth stands at $1.5 Million as of 2026. His financial portfolio draws from steady music royalties generated by Tha Dogg Pound and his solo discography, including *Kuruption!* and *Tha Streetz Iz a Mutha*. Touring revenue contributes significantly, ranging between $200,000 and $500,000 annually. He maintains ownership of the record label DPG Recordz and has secured past endorsement deals with clothing and cannabis brands. Real estate holdings in Los Angeles County are valued at approximately $600,000, complemented by strategic investments in California cannabis dispensaries. These diverse income streams have kept his net worth stable over recent years.[editar]
