Kageki Shojo!!

Visão geral
Sarasa Watanabe arrives at the Kouka School of Musical and Theatrical Arts with a specific goal: to become a tachikata, or male role performer, within an all-female institution modeled after the Takarazuka Revue. Standing out for her height and boundless energy, she aims to portray Oscar in The Rose of Versailles. Her path crosses with Ai Narata, a former idol carrying deep trauma who initially resents the school environment. Despite their conflicting backgrounds, the two form a bond while navigating the grueling training regimen that defines life at Kouka.
The original manga, titled Kageki Shojo!, ran from May 2012 to October 2014 in Shueisha's Jump X magazine before being collected into two volumes. After the magazine ceased publication, Hakusensha released the story as Kageki Shojo!! Season Zero in March 2019. A sequel series began serialization in Hakusensha's Melody magazine in February 2015, introducing new generations of students to the school's rigorous traditions.
Seven Seas Entertainment holds the license for both the re-release and the ongoing sequel in North America. The narrative explores themes of artistic perfectionism, mental health struggles including PTSD and eating disorders, and the complex dynamics of friendship and rivalry. The series balances the glamour of stage performance with the gritty reality of backstage labor and personal sacrifice.
