Black Clover

Yūki Tabata launched Black Clover in February 2015 within the pages of Weekly Shōnen Jump, establishing a world where magic dictates social standing. The narrative centers on Asta, an orphan born without magical abilities who faces constant ridicule yet dreams of becoming the Wizard King. His path diverges sharply from his childhood friend Yuno, a prodigy with a rare four-leaf clover grimoire, as Asta instead claims a five-leaf clover book that grants him anti-magic powers. This unique ability allows him to nullify spells and cut through barriers, setting the stage for his journey into the Magic Knights corps.

The series ran its main serialization until August 2023 before shifting to Jump Giga in December 2023 to conclude its story in May 2026. By late 2025, the collected volumes had reached 37 books containing 368 chapters, selling over 24 million copies globally. Viz Media handles the English release while regional publishers like Elex Media Komputindo and Ivrea distribute the work in Indonesia and Spain respectively. The franchise expanded beyond print with a 170-episode anime adaptation by Pierrot that aired from 2017 to 2021, followed by the film Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King in June 2023.

A major resurgence occurred in October 2026 when the second anime season premiered after a five-year hiatus. This new run features Asta unlocking the Devil Union form alongside his demon partner Liebe, accompanied by fresh opening and ending themes. The franchise also crossed over with Fortnite Battle Royale during the 2026 Fortnitemares event, introducing character skins that kept the IP relevant for a new generation of players. [editar]
