the seat Kássio Nunes Marques sits in was Bolsonaro's pick in 2020, and it's the TSE presidency he used to declare Lula the winner. his read on it afterward: "there was no alteration resulting from the judicial decision." he also described the court as having "total security" in the process. so the Supreme Court green light stands, and the celebrating on Lula's side follows from that. here's where Flávio's annulment ask gets weird. his campaign had already gone to the TSE wanting extra time in São Paulo, Santa Catarina and Paraná, citing rain. both camps asked for extensions. what actually happened was narrower than people assume: the extra voting applied to polling places that were still open, not the whole country. and the TSE's own conclusion is that the extension left the result untouched. so the push to void it runs against the court's finding, which is the part that doesn't line up.
