João Lucas votes 13 for Lula

por marissa Rio: Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva

João Lucas says he is genuinely confused by religious leaders across Brazil who try to equate God's will with the will of a political leader, especially when that discourse gets imposed on people today. When João looks at the Gospel of Jesus, what stands out is learning about loving your neighbor, welcoming the foreigner, giving food to those who are hungry, practicing social justice, clothing those who have no clothes, and caring for the sick. He insists that no pastor, no church, and no politician should ever exercise the function of thinking or deciding for you as an individual. Nothing makes any leadership or institution above our right to question authority or demand answers. João wants to say this directly to every Christian listening: you have the right to think for yourself, you have the right to vote exactly as you wish, and you have the right to exercise your own conscience without pressure. On October 25, in the runoff election, João states clearly that he votes 13 and he votes for Lula.
