Pokémon card bubble analysis
I personally don't think they have that much of a runway left. Institutional buyers must purchase large quantities of cards to facilitate their core business experiences, acting as the marginal buyer requiring high volume. The collapse of one or two major institutional buyers could cause the market to fail in a way that mirrors the chaos seen when FTX collapsed in crypto. Potential triggers for a collapse include bad news from PSA or issues with 'rip it' products. Even if a collapse is triggered, the situation could persist for six to twelve months.

I personally don't think they have that much of a runway left. But the argument is that there are a lot of these institutional type buyers that have to buy crazy amounts of demand to facilitate their core experiences they're selling. They need the volume of cards to be the marginal buyer. So basically what I think could collapse at all is if one or two of those start going down, like under. A lot like in crypto. How often does FTX, right? When that went down, it caused some craziness. Like any, I think anything like that could happen, whether it's a PSA, bad news, or one of these rip it things. I think any one of them could set it off, but it could also continue on for six to 12 months, right? Who knows?
