Hasan Piker just explained why he's not apologizing for skipping the Kamala Harris endorsement in 2024, and the logic is getting heavy. Adam Mockler brought up the heat he faced, noting how people were also yelling at Tom Morello earlier for not even voting for her. Hasan pointed out that his personal stamp on the campaign wouldn't have shifted the needle much anyway. He doubled down on standing by that choice while making it clear he told folks to skip Donald Trump or Jill Stein if they had any sense. There is a serious point about drawing a red line over genocide though. He argued that a Democratic Party willing to keep slaughtering children was never going to be good at defending democracy in the first place. The aftermath of the Trump victory basically proved that failure right there. It feels like the chaos of online culture is just background noise compared to these actual political ultimatums being dropped.
