Ed Zitron on Anthropic

    por Gigliola: Ed Zitron

Ed Zitron isn't holding back on Anthropic. He calls it a total dog of a company after crunching the numbers. His math shows they burned $12 billion just to pull in $4 billion in revenue. Even wilder, nearly a quarter of that cash flow relied on two clients without any long-term contracts. The real question hanging over everything is what happens if those two customers actually leave.

Ed Zittrain has some statements to make about all of this. So he was responding to Ross Hendricks' statement, where he talked about, you know, anyone wondering why anyone is, why these companies are threatening to have the government shut down their competition. Ed Zittrain said, ha ha ha, and Topic is a total dog of a company spent $12 billion to make $4 billion in revenue, $7 billion, which was compute costs, operating loss of eight bill. Loss is getting worse. Weird that Wardis doesn't have the 2026 numbers from the first practice. And then he also followed up and said, quoting the Roya's article, Andrabeck said, nearly a quarter of its revenue came from two customers last year and as part of its risk factors warned that many of its largest clients were not locked into long-term contracts and could stop spending. So I guess that's a pretty big deal, right? You know, if anything happens in the economy or if these companies decide that they don't want to go all in on this anymore, they could just cut their spending and drop it, suffers massively. Stocks, rates, the Fed, and where the money is going are things that we talk about all the time over here. So if you're into that, hit that follow button.
