Hasan on Collargate and the Kaya dog drama

The part that gets lost in Collargate is that Hasan was handing his chat a script for how to respond, and the script is basically: the dog has it better than both of us. Multiple walks a day, top-tier treats, and somehow this became a whole drama. Meanwhile, per Hasan, there are people with actual electric collars and electric fences doing the complaining. His line about it: between you and me, only one of us has deployed this, and it's you. His other point is that the outrage never made sense. Kaya grew up on camera. Fox News paparazzi were parked outside his house. There are thousands of hours of footage of the dog. And Dan Saltman pushed the Kaya shock story, according to Hasan, because he saw people blaming Ethan for harming his dog, and Saltman admitted it. Then the ad thing. Hasan says he doesn't run ads at all. He stopped after his contractual obligation ended, so the change didn't hit him, it hit other content creators. A lot of people on the platform watched their ad revenue shrink and skipped straight past asking who was responsible, went right to blaming politics. His reaction to that is basically are you kidding me.
