Henrik Zeberg on Bitcoin and altcoins
Capital rotation is the real story here. Henrik Zeberg (HenrikZeberg) argues Bitcoin won't hit a fresh all-time high relative to the S&P, noting that in 2021 it only managed a bounce while altcoins actually outperformed. He expects that same pattern to repeat as funds shift away from BTC into assets with more utility. The market isn't just rising; it's moving.

No, I don't. And I know that's people will say, well, isn't that controversial? No, it's actually not. Because what we often see in the final phase of Bitcoin is that you have a phase, for instance, also, this is where it gets a little hairy, but I'll try. In 21, we had a top and then you had a decline in mid 21 and it went back up again and made a new high. This was a new high versus the dollar, but it was a new high versus the SPX, for instance. And I think that was only a bounce. And you saw actually that some of the other points, altcoins and so on, fit better there. That's what I'm trying to say. Sometimes it's good that you have had the attraction of capital into Bitcoin first for some time, and Bitcoin went up to the 125, and then that capital starts to rotate. And then I actually think that you will see some of the altcoins doing much better. So when Bitcoin only bounces, it doesn't steal all the thunder, and you'll see that the money rotates into some of the others. That's why I think some of the others can do much better. And honestly, maybe it also has to do with the utility of it. But Bitcoin probably doesn't have the same kind of utility that the rest of the guys, or some of them, at least.
