Trump rejects Iran Strait of Hormuz deal

Iran wanted the Strait of Hormuz reopened and floated peace talks to get it. President Trump turned the whole thing down flat. His read: they only came asking because they are losing. Oil is moving out in huge volumes across a two day stretch. Both sides have seen the numbers. What Iran got instead was a blockade he calls the greatest in military history, a wall of steel. It cuts off their money, and that is the direct result of trying to shut the Strait in the first place. They figured closing it would cause a problem for the world, then he came along. His line: that's fine, we close it on YOU. So where does that leave them? Massive inflation, no cash, basically no oil exports. The leverage is gone, if it was ever there. He's calling the blockade a huge win.
