AJ Spitz says protests were never supposed to be tidy or permitted. Blocking off government space, that's the whole tradition. So when Chicago hands you a single hour to occupy Grand Avenue, it's nice to be together and all, but it's not really the thing. It's not just in those one hour, you know, government blocked off, you know, area where you were allowed to. First of all, protests are meant to be disruptive. They're not supposed to. You're not supposed to. It's not supposed to be legal. You're actually traditionally it's like you block off areas and it's opposing government. It's not the government. They city Chicago said we have an hour to take up Grand Avenue. That is like it's still good. Trust me. It's still nice to be together. But that ain't really the shit, you know. So I think that's plays into why maybe our generation isn't as invested in traditional protesting. But I wanted to let them know that there are things you can do so many things you can do get creative about it.
