I know Charlie Kirk's a very controversial figure, and I'm not saying that he didn't say some things that I'm sure were true, but especially when we talk about race, which he played a really instrumental force, especially for white kids across America, they would look at him as a beacon of truth. he was really speaking to, you know, their guilt and their shame and spewing a lot of misinformation about it. He was, he was saying he was giving them a right to, you know, to use these folks as being a scapegoat, which was really ironic because then he would turn to black communities and say that like, you know, if you don't talk about race, then it doesn't exist. And if, you know, we're all, you know, on the same playing field, this is America, right? Like we're all equal, right? And so he was really leveraging the American idea of independence as if it worked the same way for everybody. And that's a really comforting feeling for white folks. That's what they really want to hear. And I think that's why he spoke to so many people. He comforted them.
