Disney films shaped how an entire generation understands love, with most stories stopping right at the wedding scene. AJ Spitz argues this pattern creates unrealistic marriage expectations for men and women because we never see what a relationship actually looks like at fifty years old. That lack of long-term modeling in popular media is exactly why so many face disappointment later on.

One of my favorites is Disney. Disney oftentimes show love stories all the way up until the point of marriage, but really never show a story that goes throughout marriage. You know, and some of the battles and trials and tribulations you face when you're, you know, 50, 60 years married to someone, it's usually up until the point, you know, of like the happily ever after and assume that it's happily ever after. So we don't see representations of what marriage should look like. And that's why I think a lot of women have expectations that are just blatantly unrealistic. same thing with men and these types of you know these types of programmings can do damage to the youth and to people's lives it's a script that we subconsciously follow and I am just fascinated in that stuff because I want to I think be free and live life on my terms if you enjoyed this be sure to hit that like button and follow to stay up to date with what's going on in the world and everything else memes and markets peace
