White House Access Denied Reporters
Reporters from CNN, MSNOW, and Politico got the red light at the White House gates and spent the whole day on the sidewalk. Jackie Heinrich, the Fox News senior correspondent leading the White House Correspondents Association, pushed back hard against the move. Her statement argues that kicking out journalists from those outlets breaks the First Amendment, a claim Brian Stelter is now echoing even though he once floated the idea that Biden blocked Fox News access. The real talk here is that press credentials don't actually come with First Amendment protection for entry to the grounds. Those spots could just be filled with more honest people who aren't pushing propaganda. If the coverage stopped being so one-sided, maybe the administration would reconsider the ban.
