Doug Burgum got the callout straight from President Trump at the White House, and it wasn't a throwaway line. Interior Sec. has now put 82 statues, monuments and fountains back together across DC. Some of that stuff went untouched for 40 to 50 years. One spot? Over 70. Graffiti stains, grass pushing up through the cracks, plain ugly. Now it's beautiful. All of it falls under the Make D.C. Safe and Beautiful push run by the Interior Department, which has also scrubbed hundreds of graffiti hits off the city's monuments and memorials. Democrats sat on their hands while it rotted. Trump and Burgum fixed it anyway, in the middle of America's 250th, and the left still finds a reason to fight it. Generational run, obviously

I want to thank Secretary of Interior Doug Burgum, who is, by the way, doing a fantastic job. Where is Doug? You up, doing a stand up. He is great. He's doing great. You know, he's fixed along with all work together. 82 statues, monuments, fountains outside and all over Washington. They were neglected for 40, 50 years in some cases. We had one that was over 70 years. Nothing was terrible. They had graffiti stained. They had grass growing through the cracks. They were in horrible shape and embarrassment. Now they're beautiful. 82, I think, is the number at this point, and that's a lot. You're just about running out. But it's incredible what you've done. You've been a great Interior Secretary. We appreciate you being here, Doug.
