A man goes to take his driver's license test, but the questions on the paper completely stump him. Looking around, he asks the girl in front of him for help. Unfortunately, the examiner catches them right in the act. Without listening to any explanation, The proctor tears up her test right in front of everyone and revokes her eligibility for the entire exam. Jack just sits there completely unbothered, acting like it has nothing to do with him. Hey, good luck. Walking out of the testing center, Jack immediately spots that same woman sitting on the hood of his car. Jack automatically assumes Annie wants compensation, so he casually pulls out his business card, acting like money can fix everything, and tells her to go ask his secretary for it. But Annie stays sitting on the car, not moving an inch. Jack pulls out cash, trying to pay her off so she leaves. What are you doing? Buying redemption. Redemption's not for sale today. Sorry. Jack puts his cash away and gets ready to drive off. Annie takes the initiative to jump off the car and wave goodbye to him. Jack thinks this is where it all ends. Little knowing that the trajectory of their fates has already quietly shifted. That night, Annie shows up at his door again. He asks Annie what on earth she wants. Annie says her demand is very simple. Since he cost her her driver's license, he has to take responsibility and drive her to her destination. Jack only wants to get back to work. So he turns around and tries to walk away. To his surprise, Annie starts shouting at passers-by, falsely claiming Jack is a creep. Jack thinks this woman is completely insane, and to avoid making a scene in public. Jack gives in, and agrees to drive Annie to run her errand himself. The two of them quickly arrive outside a hospital. Annie actually puts on a ski mask and sunglasses, to keep Jack from taking off without her. She pulls out the car key right before getting out. Watching the fully disguised woman sneak into the hospital, Jack gets a bad feeling about this. Sure enough the alarm sounds right after and Annie runs out of the hospital in a panic Jack has never done anything this thrilling before, and in his heart, he's convinced this woman must be a criminal when the bag is opened. Though, it turns out to be two fluffy puppies, Annie says she saw the hospital staff catch them from the roadside with her own eyes, to use them for brain experiments, so she had no choice but to resort to this. Jack never expected this woman to be so brave and kind-hearted, and his impression of her takes a massive turn. When Annie finds out that Jack has no hobbies outside of work, she instantly mocks him for having a lifeless existence. After finally dropping Annie off at her place, she actually invites Jack upstairs for coffee. Facing Jack's blunt refusal, she doesn't give up. I'll see you tomorrow then, okay? Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, hold on. Just so he can work in peace tomorrow, Jack has no choice but to follow her upstairs like a good boy. Annie says she wants to help Jack find the joy in life. I'm sheer perverse curiosity. How does a lunatic like you help a guy like me? You live in a box. I could lift the lid, let some light in. Wow, that's deep. I feel almost cured just hearing it. Jack keeps asking how exactly she plans to do that, never expecting Annie's method to be so mind-blowing. Faced with such a direct confession from a woman, Jack just feels this woman is ridiculously out of her mind, and he rejects her instantly without a second thought. He warns Annie not to get any weird ideas about him, whether it's blackmail or something else. Everything ends right here. Next time you come to my building, I really will call the cops.
