Midjourney Scanner imaging spa San Francisco

    por Terrymiller: San Francisco

Midjourney is branching out from AI image generation into physical gear with a fresh healthcare arm called Midjourney Medical. Their first concept is the Midjourney Scanner, a full-body imaging rig that feels more like a dip in a pool than a hospital visit. It uses a water basin and a ring of sensors below the surface to bounce ultrasonic waves off internal tissues, capturing the echoes to build a 3D picture of what's inside you. The whole scan wraps up in about 60 seconds, and they're aiming to have the first imaging spa running in San Francisco before 2027 closes out.

MidJourney has announced their expansion into physical hardware with the launch of a new healthcare division, MidJourney Medical. They introduced their concept of a full-body imaging device called the MidJourney Scanner. The MidJourney Scanner is a machine as powerful as an MRI machine, but you can experience it just like a spa or a pool. The scanner consists of a pool of water and a ring of underwater sensors. These sensors use the principle of echolocation. It sends ultrasonic waves into the body and records the returning waves. This recorded data is processed to create the 3D image of the internal body structure.
