Sam Altman Stanford 2026 Lecture
por Vojtech: Sam Altman
Sam Altman dropped out of Stanford at 19 then ran Y Combinator at 28. He co-founded OpenAI as a nonprofit and went all in as CEO before shipping the research demo ChatGPT, which reached 100M users in two months. The drama peaked when Sam got fired on a Friday but was rehired by Tuesday. He raised the biggest checks in tech history and turned those checks into compute. Fast forward to 2026 when Sam returned to Stanford to lecture. He told the room that one founder with tokens does the work of 100 engineers. An AI research intern will become a full AI researcher by September and a full AI researcher will be present by 2028. Sam's advice to the room is to go build inference. The man who shipped the demo is now scheduling its successor. It is a different game. #SamAltman #OpenAI
