Benny Blanco says he got bored with pop music, so he started making Latin music on songs before collaborating with Mike Towers as an artist. He worked with Natan Vega and others before deciding to make his own Latin song and asking friends to feature. He notes that in Latin music you can push boundaries much further and do much more interesting things. His favorite tracks have a melancholy feeling while still being moving, driving, and nostalgic.

I feel like in Latin music, you can push boundaries a lot more and do things that are a little bit more interesting. And, you know, a lot of my favorite Latin music has like almost like a melancholy feeling to it, but it's still like moving and driving. And there's like a nostalgia. And I was really bored recently with like pop music. And so I was just making Latin music, not as an artist, just like on songs. And then, you know, Mike Towers was kind of the first guy who was like, yo, let's do one together as an artist. So then we did that. And then, yeah, I was fortunate enough to work with so many artists and like Natan Vega and like all these people. So I was just sitting there and I was like, man, I might as well just make one myself. So I started doing it and I was like, I wonder who I'll get on it. And I just asked all my friends and it just like felt comfortable and natural. And yeah.
