Jenna Ortega said when she was little she genuinely believed all television was reality TV. She figured hidden cameras were everywhere, capturing life and editing it with music into shows. So she'd go to her room and perform scenes she made up, then sprint to the TV and flip it on, expecting to see herself, but she never was.

For a long time when I was younger, I thought that all TV was reality TV. Okay. So I thought, wow, this is insane. I can't believe there's cameras everywhere around the world and they're catching these moments and putting music behind it and it's becoming this thing. So I'd go into my room and I would act out these little scenes trying to get on the TV and I'd run over to the TV and I'd turn on the TV and I'm gonna be on the TV yet. And I thought, oh God.
