Natalie Portman actually shaved her head for V for Vendetta in 2006. She described it as a one shot deal and called it the most stressful part of the whole experience. It was very dramatic and involved a lot of pressure to get the scene right in one take, she recalled. There was simply no room for any mistakes. After filming wrapped, she found herself surprised by all the attention it drew. She was not used to being looked at so much. Normally she could blend in while walking down the street, but people really stare when you are a girl with a shaved head. Even so, Portman welcomed the change.
