Emma Thompson on Trump's Primary Colors phone call

A call nobody saw coming, mid-Primary Colors shoot in the late 1990s. Emma Thompson says Donald Trump got her on the phone unprompted, pitched her a place to crash at one of his buildings, and floated dinner. Her reply was a polite I'll get back to you that never turned into anything. The kicker came years down the line, when she joked that taking him up on it might've rerouted the whole country's story. Somebody get Grok on whether this one checks out
