Loki Steve Rogers Avengers Doomsday theory

The moment Scott Lang addresses the figure as Cap and gets turned around is already a red flag, especially since Steve Rogers passed that mantle to Sam Wilson in Avengers: Endgame. It's not just that awkward turn; it's the whole vibe of this new Avengers: Doomsday footage where the character wielding Mjolnir asks Thor if holding it bothers him. Fans are convinced that playful teasing is pure Loki behavior, not something Steve would pull. Between the head tilt and that half-smile resembling the God of Mischief, people suspect the man presented as Steve Rogers is actually Loki disguised. The theory goes deeper, suggesting he might be using Steve's appearance specifically to unite the Avengers against Doctor Doom because they wouldn't trust him if he showed up as himself. Tom Hiddleston declined to address this theory regarding Steve Rogers' identity directly when asked. He stated that any answer could be a spoiler and suggested viewers wait to see for themselves. His exact response was: Oh wow, that's very interesting. I have nothing to say about that... any sort of answer I give could possibly be a spoiler. You'll just have to wait and see for yourself. This theory remains unconfirmed, but the evidence fans have gathered from mannerisms and dialogue choices keeps the speculation alive.
