Ryan Tedder on Tate McRae Housewife

Ryan Tedder's rule for a trend: whoever kicks it off should be the one to call it done. That's the thinking behind Tate McRae's "Housewife," which he says shuts the door on her early-2000s-flavored sound. Anything in that lane got funneled into this one track, and then they move on. A sonic change is coming on her forthcoming album, so consider "Housewife" the finale of that chapter.
