EU Parliament votes on Houthis terror designation

Whether the Houthis end up on the EU's official terror list is now a question for the member states, not the Parliament. Lawmakers did their part by adopting a resolution that asks the Council of the EU to apply the designation to the group along with its political arm and its military leadership. Drone strikes and blockades of Red Sea shipping are the backdrop to the push. Approval from all 27 capitals is the hurdle, and that is where it gets interesting.
