So the CW apparently wants NXT bumped to Wednesday during Blood and Guts week, and the reason is election coverage eating Tuesday on too many stations. That's what people who'd know told Meltzer, and he's upfront that he doesn't have it 100%. Probably happens anyway. Here's the part that gets me: that Wednesday is Blood and Guts. AEW already locked in the two matches they set up, and per Meltzer nobody on that side may even be aware of the scheduling chess happening around them. He figures they will be in about five minutes. Then it snowballs. NXT, Evolve, and Main Event all landing at the same time means WWE is tripling up against itself, and doing it on a night AEW treats as one of its biggest of the year. Meltzer's read is that NXT has to fire off a serious angle at Halloween Havoc because this whole thing is a rough hand to be dealt. Three shows, one night, and a probable move that isn't even confirmed yet. Nothing about this is clean.
