James Rodriguez Banfield 2009

James Rodriguez shares a story about an encounter with a fan over 90 years old while he was playing for Banfield. The veteran supporter had been there through everything, witnessing the club's history of triumphs, promotions, relegations, and difficult periods over its 113-year run. During training sessions, the man approached James and made a specific request: win the title before he died. It turned out to be a huge moment when Banfield secured the championship in 2009. Later, the fan told James he could finally die peacefully after seeing the victory and thanked him. The interaction ended with a hug between the player and the elderly supporter.
