Como beat Manchester United in Champions League

Five years ago Como were in the third division. Now they've just beaten Manchester United in the Champions League, and that sentence deserves a second read. Cesc Fàbregas took this team over in the second division two years back, and what he's built showed up in full: Nico Paz with a brace, Douvikas on the scoresheet, Jacobo Ramón too. Slightly more than 13,000 fans packed in for it, and by the end they'd watched the club's second Champions League win and the most magical night in its history. Not a bad return on two years of work. The players and supporters losing it together tells you plenty about what this one meant. The rise is genuinely among the best stories the season has produced.
