Ilja Dragunov on AEW uniqueness

Ilja Dragunov draws a hard line between his approach and the rest of the AEW roster, insisting he doesn't fear how stacked the depth chart actually is. The reason? He's been betting on himself consistently ever since walking away from WWE, a strategy that hasn't changed. He points to his gut instincts combined with the specific way the company introduced him as proof that he sticks out from everyone else on that list. His logic is blunt: individuals who are distinct avoid getting overlooked, whereas those who mimic others or try to be like everybody else often end up invisible. He even calls out the current trend of trying to copy everyone else as an unfortunate thing happening nowadays. While sticking out puts a target on you, being generic gets you lost in the shuffle. Yet despite the pressure, he notes he hasn't been overlooked once in his entire 14-year career.
