Vicente Del Bosque Spanish national football team leadership philosophy

🇪🇸 VICENTE DEL BOSQUE: "I never believed that a coach should be a general. I always thought he should be a father. I coached players with more fame than me, more money, more noise. But the only thing they asked for, even if they didn't say it, was respect. In football, as in life, orders are worth nothing if there is no trust behind them. "Winning a World Cup or a Champions League did not change me. What marked me was looking into the locker room and seeing everyone united, without egos, without excuses. Some think authority lies in the shout... for me it was always in the silence. Because when the group trusts you, you do not need to raise your voice: football listens on its own." #VicenteDelBosque
