Tinashe Popstar interview

Tinashe says the reaction to Popstar is what actually feels different, not the creative side since the album doesn't feel particularly distinct from her previous work. She admits she was surprised by the response, noting that people ask why she'd be shocked when she's never even sniffed the top 10 of a major Billboard chart anyway. That isn't something she likes to know or worry about, so the reception being the exciting factor makes total sense to her.
