Financial Times AI infrastructure buildout report

The Financial Times piece on America's $10T AI buildout lands on a point worth sitting with: the tech keeps speeding ahead while the physical stuff moves at its own pace, needing years, cash and buy-in from the public. My optimism about AI itself hasn't gone anywhere, but the economics behind all that construction have to hold up to scrutiny. The numbers reported tell the story: at least 47 major projects pushed back or scrapped in 2026, over 1,000 efforts to impose moratoria, and just 35% of planned data center development seen as credible. Even the $500B Stargate initiative has run into delays
