Nahuel Guzmán Messi Copa América mates story

🎙 Nahuel Guzmán: "What surprised me is how human and simple he is, seeing him walk around in flip-flops. I have an anecdote with Messi at the Copa América in the United States. It was nap time, and I went alone to the equipment room to set up the match from before ours. Suddenly Leo walked in and sat down next to me." "Those are the moments when it clicks that you are face-to-face with Messi. And Loco only asked me to prepare some mates. So I started sweating to find hot water and put everything together. Then he looked at me and asked: 'What's wrong with you, buddy?' I was soaking wet, and all he had asked for was some mates, something we did all the time, but those are things that when they catch you distracted, it clicks that you are with Messi." "I learned to enjoy him from another angle. Yes, I enjoyed it a lot when I saw him train or when we stayed kicking balls at the goal, but I don't know if I have that kind of fandom. I already know how he is and what he does. So maybe I bother him to see how he is doing with a little message, but nothing more. One has to enjoy what he does on the field and take advantage of the moments we can share with him."
