Drone seeding for forest restoration

Getting a whole forest planted from the sky is the pitch, and specialized drones scattering thousands of seeds over damaged landscapes is how it would work. That part does move reforestation along faster than doing it by hand. Whether any of those seeds actually take, though, comes down to conditions being right on the ground. So the open question is whether this kind of tech gets us to a greener future, or just a promising start.
