Nicolo Tresoldi celebrates at San Siro

The market is running dry on elite number nines, yet Nicolo Tresoldi keeps showing up as one of the most exciting young strikers around. He made history by becoming the youngest German player to net a hat-trick against Inter Milan, a performance that helped Club Brugge secure a 4-3 away win over them. That recent feat at the San Siro adds to a list that already includes a goal against Aston Villa and nine total goal contributions across his last five games for club and country. His numbers are stacking up fast: 23 goals for Club Brugge in the previous season followed by eight strikes in just ten appearances this term. Since he is of Italian descent, he holds eligibility to represent either Germany or Italy internationally. Both nations have a serious young talent in Tresoldi, meaning whichever side secures his allegiance will be getting a striker for years to come.
