Flip the usual zoo setup and you get something genuinely strange: lions on the outside, people on the inside. Visitors ride in vehicles built to keep them safe while the lions wander wherever they like, which is what makes the whole thing work. That protective barrier is the only thing separating you from some very close looks at big predators, and honestly that is the entire appeal. Would you sign up for a safari like that?
