A family has spoken for the first time after a 23-year-old man got into the tiger enclosure at Yorkshire Wildlife Park. William Chapman, a former child actor, had spent years dealing with significant mental illness and had been prescribed strong medication. His relatives remember him as bright, warm and engaging, plus intelligent, kind and sociable. As he climbed over from the viewing platform, a mother who was there with her children tried to pull him back. He overpowered her and went in. He filmed himself walking toward the tiger, Altai, shortly before the attack. What part the medication played is something the coroner will decide. The park says Altai is unharmed and won't be put down.
