RJ Mitte Breaking Bad career struggles

RJ Mitte's text messages paint a stark picture of the post-Breaking Bad landscape: securing meaningful work became nearly impossible. He wanted interesting projects but kept getting scripts where he'd just be an accessory with no depth, three lines at most. By August 2022, that frustration had only deepened into something genuinely irritating. He noted being offered nothing but animation while feeling shut out from on-screen roles entirely. It's bullshit when casting directors reject you because the character isn't written as disabled, leaving him to wonder why the role can't just be disabled. He's writing his own stuff now because nobody else is stepping up.
