David Beckham Inter Miami journey

The energy surrounding the ball, the pitch, and the fans is comparable to nothing at all, yet David Beckham knew that one day he would hang up his boots. He did not want that moment to be the end of his story, so while others celebrated with new watches or cars, he preferred to invest in learning instead. Every contract and every sponsorship was analyzed as if it were a long-term partnership because visibility is fleeting, but building something that would last was the actual goal. He paid attention to everything: how clubs are run, how brands are born, and how leaders think. He did not speak much, but he was always taking notes on club management, brand creation, and leadership strategies. When he arrived in Los Angeles, he already had something clear in his head regarding his future. He asked for something no one had asked before: the right to found his own team in the MLS, at a symbolic price. Many did not understand this request, but it took him twelve years to make it a reality. There were rejections, legal hurdles, and difficult decisions like having to fire his friend Phil Neville along the way. But he moved forward regardless of the obstacles. He learned from Sir Alex Ferguson how important it is to train from the grassroots level. And from Florentino Pérez, he learned how necessary it is to dream big and work until making it a reality. Today he owns Inter Miami. And when he sees Messi play on a team with a boy who came out of their academy, he feels that he achieved what he really wanted in this life. #DavidBeckham
