Deep Ocean exploration submersible

We've mapped the ocean floor, sure. But when it comes to actually laying eyes on the deep seafloor, the vast majority of it has never been seen. That's the part that gets me. Somewhere down in all that black water there are creatures nobody has a name for yet, mountains rising off the seabed, whole ecosystems just going about their business unobserved.
