Xavi Simons accepted into Harvard Business School

A serious knee injury took the World Cup away from Xavi Simons and shelved his football dream for a while. The Tottenham player is 23. Instead of sitting with the setback, he got accepted into Harvard Business School. He'll be part of a specialized program designed for professional athletes, studying how the sports industry works alongside the business and administration side of it. His reasoning is pretty clear: a footballer's career does not last forever. So while he's fighting to get back on the pitch, the groundwork for a life after it is already being laid. Elite mentality inside and outside football. Harvard doesn't hand out spots like that to just anyone, and doing it while rehabbing a serious injury is a different level of focus.
