Would you trust someone who once violently attacked you if you had the perfect opportunity to get revenge? That's the exact knot FEMME (2023) 🇬🇧 ties around its plot, and it refuses to let go. Jules is a drag performer whose life gets shattered by a violent homophobic assault committed by Preston, a man who is busy hiding his own sexuality in the closet. Months after that attack happens, Jules bumps into Preston again but this time through a dating application. Instead of screaming or running, Jules starts a secret romantic relationship with the very person who hurt him, keeping his identity as the victim completely hidden. The goal isn't forgiveness; Jules wants to use this connection as a weapon for revenge against Preston. What unfolds is an entanglement where intimacy, secrecy, power dynamics, and manipulation all collide between the attacker and the victim. The story digs into how humiliation, hidden identity, and the desperate desire for retribution intersect until the line between wanting payback and wanting the other person blurs out of existence. It forces a heavy question on whether anyone could actually trust a former violent attacker when handed the chance for total revenge. 🍿 #MovieClips
