In China’s BoxOffice, despite the end of the long holiday, R-rated game adaptation horror reboot ResidentEvil  directed by ZachCregger remained #1 on 4th day, grossing STRONG $2.7M on THU over 98k screenings (-16k from yesterday), a -52.6% drop from WED Holiday! It hits a $28.7M cume in just 4 days. Incredible walk up business specially for horror, 91.5% of tickets bought on the day, only 8.5% during pre-sales. Audiences score from ticket buyers on Maoyan remains under wraps, on Douban it received a solid 7.2⭐️ score, specially strong for Hollywood horror films locally. $290k in pre-sales for FRI, when it will play over 99k screenings (+1k from today)
