Resident Evil Extinction Night poster

In China’s BoxOffice, anticipated R-rated horror ResidentEvil will finally debut TOMORROW, an unusual MON Opening Day, the 5th day of the local GoldenWeek 7-day long holiday. SPECTACULAR $3.2M in FINAL pre-sales cume for MON alone, record for Hollywood horror locally, and a $4.3M pre-sales total for the whole week! Exhibitors are ALL IN with 111k screenings booked for OCT 05. The franchise has always been huge in China even before Hollywood films became trendy, so it’s gonna be interesting to see how the reboot will perform.
